Denver Zoo Interactive Signs and Photo Ops

Here are some of the installations and interactive signs I created during my time with the Denver Zoo.

“How big are your wings?”
interactive Cinereous Vulture Sign
Denver zoo - Denver, CO

Vinyl wrapped wood

As part of the refresh of the Denver Zoo name and brand I was given the opportunity of redesigning and illustrating the sign for the Cinereous Vulture displaying it’s massive wingspan. The design was built in three pieces giving it depth and some tactile interactivity where guests could take photos.

“How far can you jump?’
Interactive down under exhibit sign
Denver zoo - Denver, CO

Vinyl wrapped wood

Following the opening of the Down Under exhibit I began the revamp of the “How Far Can You Jump?” installation. This interactive sign is where young guests can see how they measure up to some of the wildlife the outback has to offer. The location of the designs are for placement only as each animal is a separate piece mounted on the yellow base to it’s approximate jumping distance.

For this project, I partnered with King Sooper to create a new interactive sign. The focus was to bring food waste to attention involving our greatest eater Mahali the Hippopotamus.
